Moonstars:Session 4
- Justinian decides to see what will happen if the party attempts to read the Nether Scrolls.
- What he sees:
- Tasha and Aleric meditate in the Grove for a while
- Thrax hews off a limb for use as a shaft. Also learns how to make artifacts.
- Artume stays in the Grove for almost a year, emerges...different.
- Justinian cavorts with ancient pre-Golden-Age Netherese arcanists, studying the Nether Scrolls in their original form.
- Aleric and Artume study the Book of the Black and the Leaves of One Night before becoming apprenticed to the Dark Diviners.
- Aleric gains little from the apprenticeship, as they favor Artume more.
- Aleric becomes an Armathor, a guardian of Myth Drannor, and a teacher at Windsong Tower, along with Tasha and Justinian.
- Artume undergoes a number of changes, from the overtly physical (see Artume Miritar) to the psychological, and becomes a master of sorcery.
- Years later, the Weeping War breaks out, as was fated.
- The party stands against the Army of Darkness, defending a quarter of the mythal boundaries.
- The vision ends during the battle.
- Justinian lets them know that their idea was pretty good.
- The future unravels much as it was predicted.
- The first battle of the final campaign of the Weeping War occurs much as it did in history. The party defends the southwest quarter against several waves of demonic invaders.
- After the battle, they propose to the city leaders a plan to "teleport" the temple of Labelas Enoreth forward in time to 1378, when Myth Drannor will be once again free.
- There is much dissent on this point. The temple can only fit a fraction of the population. The elves insist they should get priority, being elves. Many deride the idea as an act of cowardice, a foolish assumption based on the assertions and prophecies of a bunch of foreign non-elves. Little gets accomplished in the ensuing debates.
- Justinian realizes he can trump them all, but he'll need more time to gather resources and magical power. Of course, he has all the time in the world.
- He constructs a temporal anchor in the temple of Enoreth, which, combined with the wards and latent magics of the temple, forms a temporal beacon, the one that had always been in use to navigate to the time of Myth Drannor.
- The party jumps to the secure shelter outside of time to discuss their plan. They still need to construct the beacon in Calimport to effect their travel to Khelben's time. They realize that they can find most, if not all of what they need in modern-day (1378) Silverymoon, and thus they set forth.
